Sign up for Paramount+ on your Xbox
You can sign up for Paramount+ on your Xbox with these simple steps:
- After downloading the app, open it and select “Sign up.” You’ll see an access code displayed on your TV screen.
- Visit paramountplus.com/xbox on your computer or mobile web browser, enter the on-screen access code, then click “Activate.”
- Choose a subscription plan, then click “Continue.”
- Create a Paramount+ account, or sign in to an existing one, then click “Continue.”
- Enter information, and click “Start Paramount+.”
- Your device screen will automatically refresh, and you can start streaming Paramount+.
Stream Paramount+ on your Xbox (existing subscribers)
Once you have added the Paramount+ app, there are two ways to sign in:
On your TV
- Go to Settings > Sign In.
- Select On my TV.
- Enter the email address and password you used when subscribing to Paramount+ and select Sign In. That’s it!
On your device
- Launch the Paramount+ app, then select Sign In.
- Select On the Web.
- You’ll be presented with a website and a code. Make a note of this code—you’ll need it for the next step.

Find your IP address or device ID
Encountering issues when streaming live TV, like the video, keeps loading or you see a black screen? If you need to contact customer support, we’ll need your IP address or device ID to resolve the problem. Here’s how you can find them.
To find your IP address;
- Press the Guide button on your controller, then go to Settings.
- Select System Settings, then Network Settings.
- Select Wired Network if you are prompted to do so.
- Select Configure Network.
To find your Console ID (no Device ID);
- Go to Settings, then System.
- Select Console Settings, then System Info.
- Yourself Console ID appears below the console serial number.
Restart your device to fix streaming issues
If you have trouble streaming, you can often resolve the underlying issue by restarting your console with these methods:
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Note: Pressing the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.
- Select Settings, then Restart the console.
- Select Yes to confirm.
If you’re unable to access the guide, or if the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for about 10 seconds until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.
Turn on accessibility features (closed captions, audio descriptions)
There are two ways to turn on closed captions. While streaming live TV:
- Press on the View button on your controller to enable closed captions
- While streaming video on demand or live TV:
- On your Xbox, press the Xbox button on your controller to return to the dashboard, then:
- Select System > Settings.
- Choose Ease of Access, and then select Closed captioning.
- Turn closed captioning ON.
- Choose “On using the custom style”.
